LeTourneau University graduate Matthew Bradley was recently recognized as the 2011 Texas Student Teacher of the Year. This is quite an achievement considering how Texas-based university and alternative teacher certification programs produced 25,004 new teachers in 2010 alone (New teachers struggling in tough market). Bradley graduated in May and did his student teaching in the spring of 2011 semester at Pine Tree ISD, teaching fifth grade language arts and 7th grade Texas history.

Bradley’s success is evidence that small-sized private universities are just as capable of producing outstanding individuals who can contribute to the wellbeing of society as well as stand out as successful individuals. ELI 360 would like to congratulate Matthew on his success and take this opportunity to encourage future students to consider the quality education available at each of our partner universities.
