In recent news, the LeTourneau University website announced that its Professor of Flight Science and Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, Bruce Chase has been named president-elect of the University Aviation Association. The UAA has been and still is the premier international collegiate aviation association since 1947. This honor is recognition of Professor Chase’s exceptional work and continual contribution to the collegiate aviation industry.

In addition, this is also a great example of how ELI 360’s Partner Universities, represented here by LeTourneau University (LETU), go to great lengths to employ the best individuals to teach and administer their various university degree programs. ELI 360’s Universities have faculty that consists not just of professors who are great teachers that are vibrant and engaging in the classroom, but who are also actively involved in their various fields outside the classroom. This is extremely beneficial for the students at these universities because professors who are active in their fields can provide their students with valuable insight into the practical aspects of their field. Students learn from teachers who not only know the information mentally, but are also highly capable of synthesizing the information and pioneering new and innovative ideas.
