Forbes

In its second annual “America’s Best Colleges” edition, Forbes editors evaluated 600 of the nation’s 4,000 colleges and universities based on the quality of the education they provide, and how much their students achieve. Union ranked 278th on the Forbes list — up four places from last. Abilene Christian was ranked no. 407 up from 444 from the previous year making it in the top 7% in Texas ahead of Baylor University and Texas Christian University.

LeTourneau was awarded the Loening Trophy for having the top collegiate aviation program in the nation.

Princeton Review
Princeton Review ranks Union among the top 141 schools in the Southeast. Abilene Christian, Hardin-Simmons and Oklahoma Christian are ranked among the top 123 schools in the West. Nationally, 640 schools received this regional ranking, which is only accorded to about 25% of the nation’s colleges and universities.

Templeton Honor Roll – Character-Building Colleges

In 1989, the John Templeton Foundation established the Honor Roll for Character-Building Colleges to recognize those institutions that emphasize character development as an integral aspect of the undergraduate experience. To date, more than 350 colleges and universities have been named to one or more Honor Rolls.

The Templeton Honor Roll has been received by Dallas Baptist 1 out of 100 universities to receive this prestigious award. Other universities known around the world are Baylor, Dartmouth, Emory, Princeton and Yale.

AACSB International Accreditation

Abilene Christian’s College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, the highest accreditation body for schools of business.

  • Of the institutions in the world offering business degrees, only 450 have AACSB accreditation. This represents one-third of the programs in the United States and only 15% of the world’s business programs.
  • Additionally, of 41 private schools of business in the state of Texas, ACU is one of only six achieving this accreditation.

Why is this accreditation important?

AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education.

U. Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) and Lipscomb’s College of Business are both members in good standing with the AACSB International.

These are just a few of the indicators of why ELI 360 partner universities are part of a best in class group for undergraduate study.
